Penny Tuesday: Online Deals - No More Rack

No More Rack.com is one of my favorite online deal websites.

It is dedicated to giving you deals on amazing expensive designer finds for a fraction of the retail price. There are eight categories that it covers. Home, Children, Men, Lifestyle, Accessories, Beauty, Handbags, and Women. There is also a link connected to No More Rack called Bid Rack, that gives you great deals too.
These are some of the deals that you can get on No More Rack.

Go check out No More Rack. I love shopping online, it beats waiting in line and getting sick from other people.

Penny Tuesday: NETFLIX

I am loving Netflix and it's such a great way to save money!

My husband and I had been paying over $125 for our cable, phone and internet every month and our cable company, which I won't mention, kept raising the price of our cable, and we only have BASIC (the first 13 channels)! We were pretty regular Blockbuster customers, but that was getting way too expensive too, and our Blockbuster store down the street decided to close it's doors. We tried Red Box but were having a hard time finding the time to return the movies, so it would end up costing us just as much to rent from Blockbuster, which was about $4.99/movie.

We finally decided enough was enough! We saw an ad somewhere, maybe on TV, about watching unlimited Netflix movies through our PS3 and online for only $7.99/month. I almost couldn't believe my eyes.
So my husband thought it was too good to be true and went to look up this 'so called' amazing deal! It was true! So we signed up right away. We also added the option to get one DVD sent to us at a time, which was only an extra $1.00 per month.

Needless to say, we have been watching a lot of movies lately...not a lot of new releases, but ones we've been wanting to see for a while. We love documentaries and they have a ton.

I told my sister, Erin, about this deal and she signed up right away too and cancelled her cable completely!

We would definately recommend this to anyone who is sick of paying for high cable bills and who wants to get more for their money! You can even watch a movie on your computer and have your kids watch a movie on the TV while your husband watches a movie on his laptop or iPad.
Outstanding!

Penny Tuesday: Homemade Laundry Soap

Homemade Laundry Soap

I am always trying to find ways to save money wherever I can. So, I decided to make some homemade laundry detergent. I tried a couple loads from a sample I got and it was great...just like Tide. So, I made a huge batch. And it was super easy too.

It calls for:
1 bar Fels-Naptha bar soap

2 cups 20 Mule Team Borax

2 cups Arm & Hammer washing soda

You just grate the soap, like you would cheese. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. You only use 2 Tbsp. per load. (tsp. for HE washers) Everything was very inexpensive and much less than I would spend on regular Laundry detergent. If you have any questions go to our Contact Us page and shoot us an email.
