Cat in the Hat Birthday Idea

Cat in the Hat Birthday Idea

Our cousin Darcy put together the cutest Cat in the Hat Birthday Party for her son, Brody. Feel free to take any of these great ideas for your own party, I know I will. I love the goldfish on the tables, and the adorable Thing 1 and Thing 2 cupcakes. She has such cute boys. I have two cute girls but still want a handsome son too. Although this party can definetly be for boys and girls. Thanks for the great ideas Darcy.

Canvas Picture Frames

CANVAS PICTURE FRAMES
This is a simple and cute way to decorate your walls.

This is basically what you will need to create your own unique canvas art:
A canvas, Mod Podge, a brush, puff paint, stickers & decals, scrap paper, embellishments and a picture.

First you will need to cut your background scrap paper out to fit the front of the canvas.

Then, cut strips of paper out for the sides of the canvas.

Now squirt some Mod Podge on the top of the canvas and spread around.

Then place the background paper on the top of it and make sure it sticks well. I turned mine over and pushed down on the back really well.

Now adhere your picture on with the Mod Podge.

 Apply decals and stickers.

Now adhere the edge strips to the sides with Mod Podge.

At this point you can trim any paper edges that are hanging over.

Now this might be scary at first, but squirt Mod Podge on the top of the canvas and spread around. After the top is dry, do the sides.

You may have slight air bubbles like I did, just try to smooth them down as much as you can.

After that's completely dry, then start drawing lines around the edges with the puff paint.

You can either wait for the puff paint to dry or start adding any embellishments now to finish up your canvas.

Once it dries overnight, it should be ready to hang.

You can be as creative as can be with these. Here's the finished product!

Here's another one that I made too!
Have fun!!! Let me know if you have any questions.

Strawberry Strawberry Jello Cake

This delicious recipe is light and refreshing, you will definitely want more than one piece.

Ingredients:
White Cake Box Mix
Large package of Strawberry Jello
Whipped Cream
Strawberry's
Make the cake mix according to the directions reserving 1/3 of the batter. Mix the reserved batter with half of the Strawberry Jello packet. Drop into cake in swirl together. Bake the cake. While cake is baking, mix the rest of the Strawberry Jello with 2 cups water, and let sit until the cake is out of the oven and cooled. Cut up Strawberry's and add to the Jello mixture. Pour on top of the cooled cake, and place in fridge for few hours. Top with whipped cream and strawberry's. Yum.

If you love Strawberry's as much as I do you will love this recipe. You can even make it for your Mom for Mother's day. Or tell your husband to make it for you. It's easy enough for those hubby's too. Happy Mother's Day to all those Beautiful Women.
